EGITTO.MA AS REVOLUTION OF EGYPT ? OF ALBERTO B. Mariantonia
mirorenzaglia.org After nearly a lifetime in the Near and Middle East (Maghreb and Mashriq), maybe even that I'm older. And maybe, with the inexorable passage of time, is equally stoned, going as far to lose, involuntarily and without knowing it, not only the meaning and sense of reality, but even the simple skills of ordinary observation, investigation of the trivial , elemental analysis and the most rudimentary assessment of the events in the news ... But holy Jupiter! Regarding the so-called "popular uprising" against the current structure of the Arab Republic of Egypt (Arabic: Gumhuriyya Jumhuriyya or Misr al-Arabiyya), I believe that this time, the usual suspects are really exaggerating ...
As in the recent case and the presumed, until now, not yet verified "jasmine revolution" in Tunisia, and I founded the firm impression that, even in Egypt, the usual astute US-Israel - with the traditional, servile political and diplomatic support of their always obedient and creeping Valvassini Europeans - journalistically are looking for - not only to sell "fireflies for lanterns" but even ... - To get us all for fools or emeriti of the simple and naive idiots!
I do not know how to be able to express otherwise, but I, for example, having already had, during my long career, the random and unexpected opportunity to live, in person and place of events, the unexpected, overwhelming and generalized explosion of the Iranian Revolution (1978-1979) - with millions and millions of citizens who, for months, boldly challenging the systematic and criminal use of automatic weapons by the police and the army, however, continued to flood the streets and squares major cities of the country to ask, to great acclaim, the departure of the then Shah of Iran Reza Pahlavi, the return from exile of Ayatollah Khomeini and the establishment in that country, an Islamic Republic - I still tremendously difficult to imagine (or hope ...) that what they we have witnessed in recent weeks in Tunisia, and how, these days, we are still watching in Egypt, can be compared in any way - for now ... - in any form of spontaneous and heartfelt popular revolution.
In order to exclude a priori such a possibility, in fact - and despite the many innocent victims, and certainly (in Egypt, for now, we are talking about more than 100 deaths and about two thousand injured, including police officers) that remains deeply sad and painful having to make a budget - just compare a few thousand protesters (at most, about 10 or 15 thousand protesters - a total of about 15/16 million people who ordinarily has al-Madinat al-Qahira - the "city subjugate" - or al-Qahira or Cairo ... and not "the" Cairo, please!) - concentrated either in some specific and limited area of \u200b\u200bcentral Baghdad, as Al-Tahrir Square, Kornish el-Nil, Kobra 6th October, al-Gohar Kaede, Al Sheikh Rihan and / or Abdeen Square) and other authentic and documented events in the history of this country. For example - not to mention the famous "bread riots" of 1977, 1980 and 1990 - the ocean and dramatic tides of people (there was talk then of more than 3 or 4 million people) who were spontaneously gather to the streets and squares of the Egyptian capital, during the funeral of President Gamal ʿ Abd el-Nasser (1970), or those of the famous and popular singer, musician and actress Egyptian Oum Kalthoum in 1975. For
groped, however, to understand what I'm looking forward to unsuspecting man in the street and abused Italian or European feel to ask some questions ...
Where are today in the streets and squares of Alexandria, Cairo, Suez, Ismailia and Port Said, militants and members of the major parties has always been opposition by the regime of Hosni Mubarak ( Sayyid Muhammad Hosni Mubarak Selaaem), the general-president, already known at the time of Sadat, the "Vache qui rit"? Just to name a few: the Unionist Party for Progress National, or National Progressive Unionist Party (Hizb al Tagammo 'Al Watan to the Taqadommi Wahdwawi'), the Arab Democratic Party or Nasserist Arab Democratic Nasserist Party (Hizb al-Arabi al-democratic to Nasseri-), the New Party's 'Delegation' and New Wafd Party (Hizb al-Wafd-al-Gadidae or al-Wafd al-Jadid), the Association of Muslim Brotherhood or Society of the Muslim Brotherhood (Jama'at al-Ikhwan al-Muslimin), the party of the Front Democrat or Democratic Front Party (Hizb al-Gabha al-democratic), the Egyptian Arab Socialist Party (Hizb Misr al-Arab al-ishtaraki), the Egyptian Arab Socialist Party or National Party-Liberal Egyptian or Egyptian Liberal Party (Hizb al- Masri al-Liberals), the Liberal Party or Liberal Party (Hizb al-Ahrar), the Egyptian Movement for Change or Egyptian Movement for Change (al-Haraka al-al-Taghyeer Masreyya men agl), the Socialist Labor Party or Socialist Labour Party (Hizb Al-Omal), the Young or Young Egypt Party of Egypt Party (Hizb Misr El-Fatah), the Party of 'community of believers' or Umma Party (Hizb al-Umma), etc..
Or should we believe that the "true" and "real" opponents of the regime of Hosni Mubarak officers are only those who continue to be promoted and scandalously bandied about by almost all television around the world? Namely, the followers' secular-centrist "party of Tomorrow or Tomorrow Party (Hizb al-Ghad) of Mr Ayman Nour (who can not count on a few thousand members in all of Egypt) ... Or maybe , friends, relatives and cronies of Dr. Mohamed Mustafa El-Baradei, the former Director-General (1997-2009) the Vienna International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Nobel Peace Prize in 2005? A "character" that the latter, so far - besides the fact that he was totally absent from his country for 30 years and could permanently and unalterably claim the role of loyal and obsequious butler of the various U.S. administrations - has gone down history for its policy of "two weights and two measures" severe and uncompromising emmerdeur with the speculation and never discovered "Iraqi nuclear facilities" of the regime of Saddam Hussein, as well as those of proof to the contrary, non-violent Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, blind, servile and extremely accommodating, however, in 2004, with those of Dimona, in Israel, whose political leaders not to be put in relation to any request for inspection of nuclear site, they did not even go to customs at Ben Gurion airport in Tel-Avil (Namal HaTe'ūfa Gūryōn Ben) and he, good good, as if nothing had happened, came quietly and submissively take back to the lineup on the same aircraft with which it had come. As "an opponent of service", in short, no doubt about it ... It has no doubt all the "cards" in good standing!
In all cases, to return to that and conjectured "revolution" in Egypt, there seems maybe a bit 'strange that - until now - on the streets and squares of Alexandria, Cairo, Suez, Ismailia and Port Said is not heard even a single opponent to launch a slogan hostile to the U.S. or Israel, but has only heard rhythm, including a "Down with Mubarak" and a "go-Rais dictator", only bread, Freedom, Dignity (in English) and sometimes in Arabic, aish, horreya , Karam insannayia (bread, freedom, dignity)?
But I say, in the face of this kind of "opponents" that they would end in Egypt's approximately 15 million members National Democratic Party or the National Democratic Party (Hizb al-Watani al-democratic) of the current President Hosni Mubarak?
Moreover, how come so far - well above the city - are not completely reported clashes or fights, for example, (between Alexandria and Cairo), in Damanhur, Desouk, Tanta, MIT, Yazid, El-Matareya, El-Qantara, El-Sharqiya, Banha, ZIFT, Leontopolis, Al-Minshat al-Jadidah, Kafr Saqr, Faqous, Hiya, Zagazig, Kafr el-Dawwar, Biltan, Hissar, MIT Kinana, MitSuhayl, Mit Gabiria, Al Jawsaq, Inshas al-Rami, Zawanti, Al-Qalyubiyah, Abu Ghalib, Shatanuf, Umm Dinar, the Dhat Kawn, Mansuriya, Ausim, Shubra El-Kheima, Kafr Hamra, Khana? Or (in the south of Cairo), Kafr Tuhrmis, 6th October City, Maadi, Shabramant, Tura, Umm Khunan, Hawamdiya, Saqqara, Barshen, Helwan, Maraziq, Bardshein, Tabbin, Dahshur, Miniya, Barmasht, Ikhsas, ATF, Hai, Aiyat, Fahmiyim, Lisht, Saff, Abu Far, Maharraqa, Widy, Gerz, Kuddaya, Atfih, Maidum, Abd el-Gilil, Al-Fayyum, El-Maimun, Beni Suef? Or, (a little 'further south), al-Ghadaqah (or Hurghada), Asyut, Bur Safajah, Al-Kharijiah, Luxor, Aswan, etc.?
And, finally, what would be the "new men" of the "new course" of the regime of Hosni Mubarak, brazenly already wanted by Washington by December 30, 2008 (as revealed by Wikileaks)? The Prime Minister, Air Marshal Ahmed Mohamed Shafik, former Minister of Civil Aviation in the previous governments? The new Vice-President, Lieutenant-General Omar Suleiman (aka Sliman), continuously since 1993 Head of the infamous Gihaz al-Mukhabarat al-Amma, the dreaded and ubiquitous Egyptian military secret service and other services in the country, such as Idarat al-Mukhabarat al-Harbyya Istitla and wa al-Amn al-Dawla Gihaz Mabahith?
But let me pleasure ...
I, of course, for the moment, I do not know what's "behind" the whole skit officer who is doing these days, in Egypt.
One thing, however, I feel sure ... Egypt, with its roughly 83 million inhabitants and 40% of the population living well below the tolerable level of poverty (something less than $ 2,000 per year, per capita), is a veritable "time bomb". The astute
US-Israel - by definition samples dell'americanissimo billiards, "Pool Ball-8" - had the "wonderful" idea to pull the "first ball" in the pile or if you prefer, still in sleeping mat and patchwork of endless, unjust, and never accepted or digested sacrifices and frustrations of these people.
For the time ... so - As I mentioned at the beginning - in Egypt, and felt no form of spontaneous popular revolution. But tomorrow, who knows?
The true Pandora's box "of the Arab-Muslim world, in fact, slightly used and disclosed in recent days studiously by those" aspiring sorcerer, "may well suddenly, irresistibly and irrevocably uncover real!
